Tabletop Interpreter Support
Two people, one iPhone, one conversation.
Getting started
- Choose the language you speak and the language the other person speaks.
- Download the language packs when asked (once, over Wi-Fi). After that Tabletop works offline.
- Tap Start Conversation and lay the iPhone between you. The other person's half faces them.
- Just talk. Tabletop works out which language was spoken; nobody needs to tap to take turns.
Common questions
It says to download a language pack. Open Language Packs (the download icon on the start screen) and download the speech and translation packs for both languages. Translation packs are shared with Apple's Translate app and can also be managed in Settings › Apps › Translate.
A line says "Not confirmed" or "Not translated". The translation could not be checked, so Tabletop hides it rather than risk showing a wrong number or dose. Ask the person to say it again, or say it again yourself.
It picked the wrong language. Very similar languages (for example Spanish and Portuguese) can be confused. Speaking in full sentences helps.
The other person's text is too small. Open Options (•••) › Their Text Size.
Can I hear the translation? Options › Speak Translations reads each finished translation aloud.
Important
Tabletop uses machine translation and is not a certified interpreter. It can make mistakes. For medical, legal or safety-critical conversations, use a professional interpreter.

Câu hỏi thường gặp
Ứng dụng báo cần tải gói ngôn ngữ. Mở Gói ngôn ngữ (biểu tượng tải về ở màn hình bắt đầu) và tải gói giọng nói và gói dịch cho cả hai ngôn ngữ.
Một câu hiện "Chưa xác nhận được" hoặc "Chưa dịch được". Bản dịch không kiểm tra được nên Tabletop ẩn đi, thay vì có thể hiện sai một con số hay liều thuốc. Hãy nhờ người kia nói lại, hoặc bạn nói lại.
Chữ của người kia quá nhỏ. Mở Tùy chọn (•••) › Cỡ chữ của họ.
Lưu ý
Tabletop dùng dịch máy và không phải phiên dịch viên được chứng nhận, nên có thể dịch sai. Với các cuộc trò chuyện về y tế, pháp lý hoặc an toàn, xin hãy dùng phiên dịch viên chuyên nghiệp.
